  34.            the paper size on the Brother HL printers will now default
  35.            to 8.5-by-11-inch paper instead of A4.

  221.            update, support was added for the HP LaserJet III family of

  225.            driver for Epson ESC/P 2 24-pin printers is an update to
  226.            the one provided in the Windows 3.1 package (version 1.0).

  228.            It corrects the following problems:

  230.             - Several Epson ESC/P 2 printer models are added: LQ-100,
  231.               AP-3250, AP-5000, AP-5500, SQ-870, and SQ-1170. (The
  232.               model names beginning with "AP" are abbreviations for
  233.               ActionPrinter.)
  234.  
  235.             - The 360 x 180 resolution was not listed on the LQ-870
  236.               and LQ-1070 printer drivers. This version adds this
  237.               resolution to all printer models. The resolutions are
  238.               180 x 180, 360 x 180, and 360 x 360 dots per inch (dpi).
  239.  
  240.             - The orientation of envelope paper sizes was incorrect in
  241.               the version 1.1 driver and was based on laser printer
  242.               paper feeding. Version 1.3 allows printing on envelopes
  243.               in the correct orientation for dot-matrix printers.
  244.  
  245.             - The printable area of some paper sizes was modified to
  246.               prevent occasional incorrect or inconsistent paper-
  247.               feeding problems when using a sheet feeder.

  335.            driver for the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet family (and
  336.            compatibles) of printers is an update to the one provided
  337.            in the Windows 3.1 package (version 1.0). It corrects the

  340.             - Kyocera models. Paper sizes Ledger & A3 have been added
  341.               to the F-5000 model, and memory configuration options
  342.               added for the F-5000 model. Printer command for font
  343.               selection for Helvetica 8 point has been corrected.

  345.             - Okidata models. OL-400 and OL-800 have been removed from
  346.               the driver. These models are covered by the OKILED.DRV
  347.               on the U.S. WDL, and by the OKILASER.DRV on the

  350.             - Epson models. EPL-7000, EPL-6000, and GQ-3500 have been
  351.               removed from the driver. The EPL-7000 is covered by the

  354.             - Toshiba PageLaser 12. Support for bin 3 is now included.
  355.               Envelope paper sizes have been added.

  363. Hewlett-Packard LaserJet III Family Driver - (HPPCL5.EXE)

  365. 10/08/92 - HPPCL5.EXE IS NEW TO THE WDL. This version of the Microsoft
  366.            Windows printer driver for the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet
  367.            III, IIID, IIIP, and IIISI printers is an update to the one
  368.            originally included in the Windows 3.1 package. This driver
  369.            is included with Microsoft Windows for Workgroups. It
  370.            corrects the following problems:
  371.  
  372.             - Not maintaining separate driver settings for the same
  373.               printer installed on different ports. Previously, if an
  374.               HP LaserJet III (for example) was installed on both LPT1
  375.               and LPT2, changing any settings of the one installed on
  376.               LPT1 would also be applied to the one on LPT2.
  377.  
  378.             - Rotated fonts not printing in some cases.
  379.  
  380.             - Loss of data when printing multiple jobs to the same
  381.               port at the same time.
  382.  
  383.             - Loss of system resources after printing from version 2.0
  384.               of Microsoft Word for Windows.
  385.  
  386.             - Out of memory errors on printer when printing documents
  387.               that contain many TrueType fonts.
